Brembo brakes after a track day
Last weekend I went to a track here on my city. Today I went to swap my slicks and I found that my front calipers that should be gold with red "brembo" stickers are now gold with bright black "brembo" stickers. The letters have changed their color from red to black and it isn't dirt.
Is that paint some kind of thermal paint, that changes in color when excesive heat is reached? If I'm right some calipers or pads have this paint to show if you are making to work the system overheated

The Brembo graphics on your monoblock calipers are not designed to show temperature changes like some thermal paints are. But you clearly got the brakes extremely HOT. Do a search and you'll find that after extreme use, some Z racers have found their Brembos actually changing color. Some of the SCCA racers running Touring 2 in door-to-door competition have brown/black calipers after repeated hard brake applications and heat soak!

That's why I chose black for my front Stoptech kit. Can't change a whole lot.

Contrary to what people may think baking the paint on your calipers is a good indication your over driving your brakes.
This is more likely to happen with pads that are more than half worn as the brake pads insulating properties are diminished. You should try a set of Stoptech titanium backing plates to stop the heat absorbtion into your calipers.
Know the limitations of your brakes and drive within the limits.

I didn't feel any sign of fatigue at the brakes at all, the only thing that I show was the colour change of the "brembo" paint.
I was using enledss 2 pieces rotors, ferodo racing ds2500 pads, nismo SS lines and Motul RBF600 fluid. I will give a look to those titanium backing plates.
