Default Whats that 12mm screw that on the rotor for?

Hi guys!!

I finally installed my wheels on last night, but I ran into the issue that a 12mm screw was not letting the wheel sit flush against the rotor. We took it off and I was wondering if I need to reinstall that screw.

Please let me know guys, it was a 12mm screw with a 3/4 inch tube that was used as a spacer for the screw.

Thanks guys!!

The screw is useless, throw it away. It was there to prevent someone from putting the rear wheels on the front ( or something along those lines). Either way, you don't need it.

This bolt is called the Failbolt.. Not to be confused with "Fail Boat"

a great many newbs to the Z and G community have purchased aftermarket rims and freaked out when they could not install them due to this simple bolt.

just remove and you'll be ok.

here's a pict VO

Lol, I once got a sheet of instructions on the noob bolt from Tire Rack with my Winter Wheels - "carefully remove and store for future use" - for what, a nose piercing?

Right up there with my full sheet of NISMO instructions how replace the door sticker with updated wheel sizes. "The following information is to be considered integral to the text of the installation instructions"...
