Default Brakes squealing at the last point of a stop

just changed the front pads on my Z and whenever i come to a stop i get a squeal.. the squeal is only from say 5mph to 0mph.. it does not squeal at cruising or initial brake application only once i am almost completely stopped then "HRRRRRR" right before i stop, any ideas why?

1. what pads
2. did you bed them in
3. did you install new shims
4. did you use anti squeal compound?

My initial guess is its due to semi metallic pad, and decreased pedal pressure.

they are OEM pads purchased from the dealer.. I used the shims from the old pads (greased them up to spec)... no anti squeal (just brake parts cleaner)... havent bedded them in

My OE pads squeal from time to time in the same circumstances. My diagnoses is the same as before. semimetallic + light pressure = squeal.

i wanted to add that i did not have the rotors resurfaced since they seemed pretty good, i am wondering if this could be the cause.. i figured though that if it was i would hear squeak at other times not just at the very end of my stop

yeah its the front pads

its just combo of pad material and pressure. you can use antisqueal compounds like "BG BRAKE QUIET" but it is a short term "fix". you can try braking a little differently. less or more pressure on the end of each stop.

resurfacing rotor won't fix.
