In all fairness, the OP did not fire the first shot. His post was an honest attempt to give us useful info. It was relevant, given the fact that this forum has a tendency to give everyone the impression that if you don't have a 3K BBK and a 4K set of wheels, you're not worthy.

If you think that a thread is worthless - move on. Lord knows I do it enough around here. LOL.

+1 to everything in this response.

There are far to many "experts" around here eager to pass off idea regurgitation as original thought.
^+100000000,I notice there are alot of d1cks and d1ck comments. Its kind of like a race to see who can say the meanest thing first just for the cool factor; its lame and Ive noticed alot of people on the forum do it.
The guy did a test on break pads, and he shared his knowledge with us. Why bash him and his results? I think there should be more people doing stuff like that, instead of bashing him to look cool, encourage such results so the 350z community can benefit.

If you consider his "testing" accurate then by all means. There were no facts, it was all based on his opinion and interpretation. If that is the kind of research you're looking for, then my apologies to the fair police for giving my opinion.

Thank you for your input. I had considered trying them at one point in time also, but due to lack of good reviews (and partially due to them being made in India) I didn't go with them. It may not be a perfect review for everyone, but thanks for taking the time & putting up out there.

Sorry for the slow response, I've been traveling europe for the last two weeks.

Brakes still feel absolutely great. I have no regrets as far as performance.

The pads are dirty though. Not worse then the pads that I replaced as far as dust, but certainly no better, and I was hoping the ceramic pad would help with washing the rims every couple of days. I'm **** retentive about my cars, but the bottom line is performance is more important to me so.......

Price can't be beat, but I wonder if the dust is a necessary trade off for performance. They certainly aren't the dirtiest pad I've seen.

Everything else is fine as well, even wear on rotors, no noise (none at all).

Isn't it supposed to be dot 3? Do we have synthetic from factory or can you just change like motor oil

Synthetic is no biggy as I understand all brake fluid is synthetic. My point was use good quality fluid.

Dot 3 vs Dot 4 is my motorcycle experience. Dot 3 boiling point is around 400, Dot 4 has additives that raise that another 50 degrees or so.

It's just better for high heat applications and is why all sportbikes that I have had call for dot 4.

Dot 5 has a different base (silicone vs glycol) then Dot 3 or 4 and therefore can not be mixed and may not be able to be used in the same hardware i.e. you probably can't stick it in your car.

When I was younger I NEVER changed my brake fluid as part of regular maintenance. Sportbikes got me into the habit though and fresh quality fluid makes a big difference. It made a big difference in the car as well.
