Default Low cost big brake kit arrives!

I thought the community would be interested in seeing a low cost big brake kit alternative to StopTech. I know there has been some threads on this before and they seemed to generate interest.

This kit was designed, developed, and tested for the 350Z. I don't have any of the test data so contacting the manufacture would be your best bet for that info.

I bought the kit from Precision Brake Company in Oregon who designed and developed this kit. This is what I got in the box:

6 piston calipers
cross drilled 14" rotors
stainless steel braided teflon hoses
alluminum hats
polymatrix pads
mounting hardware
$1100.00

If there is any interest I will write a full review when I get these installed.

I know there is a lot of skeptics on this board that will doubt every word about products other than their favorite (StopTech comes to mind), so I'll do a review for those interested if it won't turn into a flame war, or turn into a my brakes are better than yours thread.

Let me know what you guys think.

Jeff

Yeah, I was in the LONG trend about these brake kits in particular. I REALLY, REALLY would love to hear your comments and a review of them. Some have told of balance issues and such, there has to be some way to compare these to the stock brakes.

I have the performance model with non Brembo brakes so I will be able to make that comparison. A friend of mine and I will also do some 60-0 and 100-0 stopping tests. Any other tests you would like to see?

There are rear kits which I have coming but they are waiting on the final parts for shipping. I should have those shortly.

I don't know what if anything they are lacking in the way of parts but I will keep a list when they get installed and let you know what extras are needed.

If you mean what are they lacking in specs compared to higher price kits, my thought was if they are lacking anything the differences are going to be all on paper and not in real world use. The cost savings alone for me is worth any of the minut differences that there may be. I am not a proffesional race car driver.

Awesome...... I had spoken to those guys a couple of weeks ago about brakes for my G35 Coupe. They said it would be a few weeks. I hope the Z setup is a perfect fit for the G. I'll call them Monday to see if they'll get them to me. Glad to see they are out.

Hi Shaun,

Yeah, finally got them. The rear kit should be here in the next week or two. I will probably will do the install on all four at the same time. Did you get brakes yet for your car?

Those are nice, are they $1100 a pair(rotors, calipers & break pads) or each side? If it is a pair, I would love to get them.

Thanks.
