anyone know how much it costs to get lowering springs?

If you just want to get springs you can spend anywhere from $200-$400. It's recommended you replace your stock struts with ones that will work well with the new spring rate or they will eventually wear out from hitting the stop. Price will vary.
Also, do it right and spend the additional $175 and get at least the rear camber/toe kit so that you can properly align your wheels after the drop or you'll be spending more in new tires quicker than you think. SPC brand is the most popular.

The most popular slightest drop, are the tein s-techs. i have them and many others do also (about $160). the drop is less than inch, and may not require any aftermarket struts or camber/toe kits. I was able to lower my Z with the s-techs and was able to align my wheels very close to oem spec, to save my tires.
The price you pay will all depend on much you want to lower the Z. obviously, the more you lower, the more money you are going to spend on other parts to accommodate your lowered car (camber kits, struts, possible fender rolling, etc)

If I remember correctly I spent $185 on Hotchkis springs plus $250 for installation, then $80 for alignment. I wish I would have spent the extra $160 or so plus labor to have rear adjustable camber arms and toe bolts installed because even though the Nissan dealer tells me they are able to pull my camber/toe back into OEM spec, I still manage to fry the inner edge of my tires within 15k miles.
