The SSR wheels are forged and are quite a bit cheaper than volks.

19" specs and pricing

18" Specs and pricing

I've always wanted a set of volks but I could never justify playing close to $4k for wheels.

I've owned every type... Ssr is a tremendous product...
Weights on my current setup are silly light for the quality.

I am adamant about never running them again based on some
bad experiences.
Bad experiences with the TE-37's? Care to elaborate a bit, I am very curious.

Without spacers for the record

Wondering if the parking brake still works? I'm sure you have already covered it, but I'm pretty impressed by your work with the brake setup. What's your thoughts on BBS LM's in 18x9.5 +20 front and 18x10 +20 rears? Think they'll clear? Def the brake kit of my choice if it will fit with the BBS wheels!!

Sean... no way in hell. I barely fit my Akebono's in behind the LM's. The problem is the LM's have a stepped lip so their's no space back there.

That's a bummer, probably would be the best wheel/brake combo for the z!

Still curious what the parking brake situation is like with conversion? I'd be sold if It maintained a parking brake. That and the only thing you can do from here is get there carbon ceramic rotor conversion. Lol if you had heaps of money to spend...

tenn... no parking brake... ultimately it's unnecessary and adds more weight.
if you want to add a bias brake in the future ()... that's the ticket.

if you're ever in miami hit me up. one test drive and you'll agree.

I might be this winter actually. My z will be down here end of october. Just waiting until flo-ridaz33 gets back to get his LM's. I wish I could figure a way to fit these brakes with those wheels. Whether spacers, or taking the wheels apart and reassembling them like some have done with the LM's. How much room do you think the LM's are shy to fit the brembos with that stepped lip? My friends GT-R had 20" LM's on it and the was more than an inch clearence on the lip an the caliper. The smallest tolerance was the face of the center and the caliper which isn't really a problem to fix. Would you happen to know the cross diameter of the furthest point of the caliper to the center? I really think I can find a way to rock these with the LM's. Thanks for the time, again nice job they look stunning. More pictures with the wheels off and of the brackets and assembly would be awesome!

At some point maybe flo and I could do a rough measure.
Check out my install thread and album for pics. Pm me your
Email and I'll send you some I haven't posted. What are your
Buddies offsets/pads? I don't think I'd suggest rebarreling lm's
As BBS definitely uses some unique components.

Not Sure of the offsets.

My email is seanstennant@yahoo.com
If flow could fit the akebonos under these, it's only a half inch of clearance I'll need to fit the R35's cause I I recall, the akebonos are 14" rotors? The thickness of the caliper is just a matter of spacers if it's too thick... Just a little optimism here lol prolly wont work but...

The backspacing would be the least of your problems, it's the diameter of the inner barrel that's going to be the problem. I have an Akebono with a 14" rim, keep in mind the face of any stepped lipped wheel will be approximately 1" smaller than the total size of the wheel. I had to trim the outside of my Akebono's to fit inside the LM's.

Yeah that sucks... Lol prolly have to have 19's to pull it off, but I think it's just too much for the Z. I wanna roll 18's only. Tire prices are waaaay better aswell!

Lo has 18" SSR's but the fit is tight... and Yes the tire prices for 18's are great.
