just and fyi, but big brakes to make you stop any faster/shorter... sticky tires make you stop faster/shorter. the purpose of big brakes resist fade... (and for 99% of people that get them, to look pretty)

Cool!! things seem to be coming along. Was there any issue with rotor offset?? Its nice to see that you are pressing forward, I half expected to never see this thread get updated again. keep this thread going with updates/problems!!

To further this point, I am willing to bet this setup will stop WORSE than stock

Front wheel actually needs a spacer... looks like I will be +7 up front when we're
installed. The rear requires extensive rework due to rotor "design"... I have secured a
week for install in July, in which all fab and install will be completed. I have my
fingers crossed and eyes wide shut.

Flics thereafter, of course. Sponsors? Anyone?

Above^ How much do you want to BET on that? Redlude? Stepup bc I will gladly
cover you on any line regarding your statement.

In a single 60-0 stop comparing an OEM brake setup to using OEM pads and tires vs the r35 setup on a 350z with the same oem wheel/tire setup. I am willing to bet $100 if done by an unbiased tester with repeatable results on the same day.

I have a slightly non-stock setup - rotora rotors and hawk hps pads up front,
same at the rear. I am willing to offer you the terms, with a wager of $1k
only with my current setup as installed (also nitto neo gen tires)...

If you're interested pm me. We can set this up, although it may be a pain.
You will have to place the money in escrow, as will I, with an attorney of my
choosing (holding a FL bar in good standing).

Your HPS pads already perform worse than stock.

a week? are you paying for labor? or is it free for you cause its something the shop wants to offer in the future?

if you're paying for this, its gonna cost you a fortune (and not a small fortune at that)

i hope the guy in the pic holding the caliper isnt the mechanic........
if he was any good hed know right of the bat that the bleeder screw on that gigantic caliper should be facing upward.....
as far as brake bias go to any race car supply ie pegasus racing supply and get a manual brake bias control have it plummed in ..but i dont believe you will have much of a problem because your running front and rears from a gtr
however your definetly going to need to upgrade to a gtr master cylinder
as far as the bracket goes it looks rather simple to have fabricated on a digital cnc lathe.
take the car to a machine shop leave it with them let them handle the measuring and fabrication itll be a bad *** setup when done

Thanks for the notes! This is handled though... We were mostly inspecting offset.
Japtrix has done many full custom race brake setups with custom brackets. I trust them
Fully.

so i thought i would chime in a bit. i purchased a set of brembo's in december timeframe. they are almost identical to the gtr brakes. in fact the 6 piston gt kit for the car is better than the gtr kit. This was information from brembo. the master cylinder is capable of handling the upgrade, you must upgrade stainless steel lines as well. if you call brembo they can sell you the proper mounting hardware to make this work. it is the same hardware that comes on the brembo gt kit. very simple bolt on process after getting the brackets. i also learned from this experience that you must have at least a 19 inch rim to make it fit. the 18 inch rims will slide over the caliper but the rim will not spin.

brembo said that the gtr brakes are from their OEM manufacturer, that the aftermarket brembo is a completely different process and a much better product.

i had the same idea when the gtr came out and almost made the mistake of buying them.
