People need to stop being internet mechanics and let the guy do his thing. People do stupid **** all the time to be different and this is very far from stupid. Good luck to you, can't wait to see the result.

/\ +1, and +1k for being original. Sure you could have bought the 6pot from Brembo but what fun is that?

If you got the money to show us, then show the Z community that it can be done. By god, do it for the starvin marvins in Nigeria that dream everyday of the possibility of equipping a VQ with R35 BBs...

This is your legacy to the Z community calling, f**k the haters.

If ol' boy can chunk an LS2 in te Z, you can sure as hell throw some r35 brakes on without breaking a sweat.

Good luck!

This should be a very nice setup when its done. There will always be haters, ALWAYS. You can go to shows and see numerous Z's with Brembo BBK's on them. But I have never seen one with R35 brakes.

how long has it been now?

I hope you didn't pay too much for the setup since you can get similar sized setups with other aftermarket brands.

I think it's a cool as hell idea what you're doing, but gotta be $$worth$$ it in the end ya know

but curious, I read in an earlier post, about a page back that you're not going with stainless lines?
Might as well upgrade while you're at it, I mean, why spend this much and not do it 100% right?

cost is a funny thing... as is timing. the complicated part will surely be bracket install.
the balance (ss lines) can be decided along the way.

best of luck man, and props to you for being a cool guy through talking with you on the forums, unlike doubters and naysayers in this thread. even if this project failed miserably (which i dont think it will), at least youre going out on a limb for a cool mod. and then you can go alliance

i may have missed something here, but what do s/s braided lines have to do with brake balance? they are used to minimize line expansion under extreme brake pressure and temperature. the other post suggested installing s/s lines since you already have the fluid flushed and calipers off the car. PITA to do it later since you have to bleed the brakes again.
