Apparently not all of us...

But it would be an ideal world if everyone learned the same things at the same time as you two, wouldnt it?

You're right, it really is about being a web savvy elite member and has nothing to do with the multiple pages like this one in which the topic is discussed.

Right...none of which include this article.

I found that this article covered this issue very comprehensively...and in one sitting, more than just a quote or reply from another member...hence this "set it in stone" for me...it was helpful, thats why i posted it, but thanks.

Obviously one other found it helpful, and imo even one makes it worth the post, and your time responding not worth your effort.

How cliche you post a search result as to imply i didnt use it.

Ya, its sad the value is only aesthetic and performance reduced. They do look great (way better than slotted) and possibly would hold up fine, but increasing the chances of a failure in my brake system and reducing performance in one swoop just isnt worth the little holes.

While I agree with the viewpoint of the article's author, he tries to come off as an expert citing thermal fatigue, heat transfer etc. That's all fine and dandy, but he offers no empirical evidence to validate or disprove his findings. Although I share the same viewpoint, this article to me is nothing but one man's theories without numerical data to back it up; which should not be taken as scientific fact.

Look, your the one that got all "butt-hurt" and implied that only the "elite members" of this site knew about this phenomenon when it was mentioned to be old news.

However cliche it may be to post pics of a search it still shows pages of threads ranging from March of '03 till just 10 days ago, all discussing this very topic.

...and it really didn't take that much effort at all

but hey, thanks for sharing

Again with repeating the same stuff? And adding "butt hurt"?

Ill say it twice then, and add some clarification just for you:

1. none of these threads had this article
2. it was a well written, all-ecompassing article which stated sources and basically took all the info i read when i searched, plus more, and combined it into one peice, thereby saving time for someone new to the subject. This may be his opinion, yes, however im more inclined to believe someone citing multiple sources (besides one forum) than say, you, telling me dilled rotors suck. I think most of planet earth would agree.
3. There may be a similar or better article which i missed, but this point fails to take into account that i wouldnt give a f**k, bc this one did it for me.
4. human beings learn things at different times in their lives according to when such knowledge might then benefit them, and contrary to popular belief, the world uses no such "davidmcc" standard for learning the mechanics of cross-drilled brake rotors.

.... and hey, thanks for showing up.

i doubt you would ever get to the level of braking where the xdrilling would be a factor

The artical doesn't mention that the stock 03 to 05 brakes are just to small for a HPDE event.
