Full Race Suspensions
hey guys,
Anyone have any experience with a true race coilover suspension setup? I need to replace my current street/track setup with something better for time trial competition. I have been looking at a custom setup from Vorshlag. If any of you guys that compete with your Zs have any advice, please share. Thanks
Joseph

A close friend of mine is running BC Racing ER Coilovers, and he absolutely loves them. I have their BR setup on my Z right now, and have been in contact with them to get a set of ER's for my Z.
I also know that Pete @ BC Racing runs them on his G35/350Z in Redline Time Attack.

^sorry, but BC is nowhere near the quality of true race dampers suchs as moton's, penske's, ohlin's, ast, jrz, etc...
sfarrah runs moton club sports, kuah from spl posted in another thread that he pulls 1.8 g's lateral acceleration...
the motons can be found on here:

edit: here is the post about the motons

Wow those motons look sick. Not sure if I want to go with 2/3 way adjustables. I dont know what the hell im adjusting nor am I at a level where Id notice the difference. I like the vorshlag because they make a 1 way adjustable set that is upgradable to 2/3 way. Plus, the more the number of adjustments, the more points I take for time trials.

I don't have any experience with AST, but I've read nothing but good things about them. They're not too popular here in the US it seems, as compared to their European presence.
Have you searched the forum for JRZ? There are a couple of T2 drivers using them, and one guy in Seattle (ALong) had a set of 2-way club dampers. Of course, the Moton clubsports have already been mentioned and would be a nice set-up. If you have the cash, there are a couple of really good options for the Z33.

edit: I just read that you wanted rebound adjustment only to keep points down. I would suggest sending a PM to Gsedan35 and ask about the Ohlins DFV. I think their default configuration might not be the best for your needs, but he might have a dyno completed to be sure. Performance Shock @ Infineon can service and re-valve the Ohlins DFV for a higher rate spring suited to your needs, and when you also consider their lightweight forged Al bodies, these seem to be an excellent option for you.

ALong sold that car last year and is now running a E36 Euro M3 in SCCA STO. One bad **** car. Lots of trick stuff on it.
He is a big fan of the Motons and JRZ.
I do all his race graphics.
