It happened in my car also, but it wasn't the brakes. It's the rear axle clicking problem. There is a TSB to fix it. Here's a link that I set up with the sheet from Nissan.

i got the rear axle click fixed already about a year ago, and it was a much quieter sound and that happened when i was moving from a stop. This distinctly happens right when i step on my brake pedal, and only happens at most 2 or 3 times.
any other ideas?!?!?

This is a very common occurence with the brakes, especially the OEM Brembos. The pads will shift in the calipers, especially when going from reverse to forward. Pretty much all of the cars with OEM Brembos do this, 350Z, STi, EVO, etc since the pads are really just hanging from the pins at the top of the caliper. Some standard sliding calipers will also do this and a lot of it is down to the brake pad backing plate and how close it is to spec.
Not saying this isnt the axles but brake pad shift is a very common cause for this.

i don't know how correct this is, but i assume that the reason high performance brake pads are made few millimeters shorter is to compensate for expansion that occurs when things get really hot.

I only get one click going in the same direction.
Although Erik says this is normal, does it also mean that I should not be concerned?
The rotors, calipers and pads were all installed less than 2 months ago. Aside from this clicking the brakes are working beautifully.
i picked up a set of used 350z calipers and new rotors and ferodo racing pads (frodo? ferodo? cant remember) anyways i get clicking from the brakes some randoms times when i brake as well so must be normal. never had this with oem base model brakes. im not to worried bout it.
