Default STOPTECH BBK and Spare tire?

So how do you folks with BBK's do it? How do I find a spare that will fit over these? Not that I want to carry it around, but I'd just as soon have one at home. Will the stock 18" wheels fit over these? I suspect not. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

+1, I'm wondering too. Might just fill up my trunk space w/ my 19" oem.

Beautiful brakes, btw.

Get AAA, it's about $100 per year, very affordable if you can afford those brakes

Stock wheels will fit over them, but roadside assistance is what i would use. $2 a month with my insurance policy.

Stock 17" wheels clear the 332mm calipers, the spare won't though. The 355mm require 18".

2003 OEM 18" Track wheel clears the 14" and 13" BBK from stoptech.

GTO/C6 Z06 spares should be tested, they fit over the HUGE stock brakes with ease, maybe they would bit our cars?

their bolt pattern is totally off ours and will not fit.

Would it be possible to just use a spare from a Z that had factory Brembos?

i think the 14" stoptech kit is bigger than the oem brembos, too lazy to look it up

I have the 18" stock rims - will try that sometime to confirm - thanks. I have AAA roadside service. If the tire is completely flat, how would they get it on a flatbed? I presume even to roll it a few feet would destroy the tire (probably ok even at $400 per tire since integrity shot anyway) but potentially damage the rim (NOT ok considering rims may not be replaceable and require a whole new set at $3-5k).

you will not destroy a tire if its rolled a few feet when its flat - the winch on the truck won't be quick enough to damage a wheel or tire

my solution - a can of fix-a-flat and careful selection of tires that are not prone to flats. Yes, fix an flat is a bit of a PIA to clean out from the tire when its time to patch it, but it's still easier and less aggrivating than waiting for a tow truck out in the middle of nowhere

I always have a support vehicle following me anywhere I drive. I'm kind of a big deal.
