Default Will stiff/stiff sway settings kill the endlinks?

I have my hotchkis sways currently set on medium/medium and I've been thinking about adjusting them to stiff/stiff. Only problem is I'm worried the stock endlinks will get worn out and need to replaced fairly soon. When I put them on I remember thinking about how the stock endlinks seem like pieces of ****. Any input?

Yes they will get trashed quicks, yes your car will handle like azz.

Unless your running r comps on the race track you don't need the bars set that stiff. Even med is stiff as hell for the stickiest of street tires.

I've heard it can wear them out, I think Z1 performance sells much better, adjustable endlinks though

I have my Hotchkis swaybars on next-to-stiffest and it wore my endlinks out pretty fast (bad creaking sounds). I replaced them with SPL endlinks. http://www.splparts.com/main4/parts/...rs/default.htm

I read in the Motorsports section AutoX/Road Course Stiff/Med is the consensus? I'm going to try that at the next track day to see how it handles. I'm running the Progrid end links too.

Have you experienced any noises with the SPL endlinks? I'm getting some grinding noises during transitions and when approaching dips/bumps where only one wheel is affected although I don't feel significant vibrations in the steering wheel. Sounds as though the endlinks are bumping up against their available free play, even though they have been installed as close to vertical as possible. Thx.

I reun med rear and 1 down from full stiff front. My car is pretty loose on the track. I have run full stiff before, no traction front or rear, and i was about 5 seconds slower.

I run 615's on the track with the standard 20mm stagger right now.

I remember trying stiff in the front/mid in the back a while ago and didn't like it. Was too worried about the car understeering so I changed it back to mid/mid. Seems like stiff/stiff would be overkill so I'm gonna leave it alone for now. Im hopefully getting springs soon so I'll see how it handles after that and go from there.

not trying to hijack a thread, but it seems that it is going that way.....
I have my hotckis set on 2nd to the stiffest on front, medium on rear. i'm running the TVS 1 kit on my car, but i'm a noob when it comes to settings.

i'm going to play with my sways over the weekend, but I was curious as to what settings cause oversteer/understeer. ex. does stiffest front with farthest rear cause oversteer/understeer ......and vice versa?

thanks.

^^^ Full stiff in the front + softest in the rear will cause the most understeer. Full stiff in the rear and softest in the front will cause the most oversteer.

that's a base for me to start from, thanx.
i have a miata that i put an anti roll bar in the rear and it livened up the car nicely.

so i am leaning towards trying to set it with a stiffer rear rather than front. should be a fun tuning weekend.
