So did we every find out what the best replacement boot would be for these ball joints. I just got mine in and would rather replace the boots before installing. also for those that removed the entire knuckle, how difficult was this

Not hard at all, about 15 minutes worth of work.

Just installed my new ball joints. Be careful when putting them in bc I broke two of them. I also went with new ball joint boots which fit perfect. They were the 13009 from energy suspension. I will post pics later

I'm thinking of ordering one of the ebay joints as well as the Megan Roll Center ball joints to have a real comparison.

Hopefully the Megans do what they advertise and move the joint pivot lower.

Its incredible that no reputable company sells this for an affordable price. Amazing!

How hard is it to install the boot vs buying the ebay Lower Ball Joint set?

Can you link me to the energy suspension site with part 13009. Did a search and it didn't find it. thanks!

There's no "installing" the boot. You just slide that over the knuckle and get it to fit over/around the raised lip.

^ One reason I'd actually the ball joint is that when you get to the ball joint, you'll see that the years of driving has actually changed the shape/orientation of the joint. Mine, for example, was no longer pointing upright but at an angle "naturally" from the weight of the car pressing on it for years.

Looks like i'll take your advice as I'm sure the condition might not be good. Better to play it safe. Did you buy the Ebay Set? Any pointers or advice?

About those Moonface joints...

I'm looking to get them but I've heard that they only REALLY benefit those who have lowered their car 30mm or more but I'm NOT looking to lower my car too much as I need the ground clearance for a bit of daily driving and just want a more durable ball joint than stock.

FYI, I'm looking at getting Buddy Club Racing Spec coilovers so that'd drop my car a bit, along with the camber, toe arms and replacing most of the stock bushings.

Doesnt the ball joint in the compression arm also need to be replaced to truly adjust roll center?

The moonface kit includes parts to adjust the compression rod geometry as well.
