If you decide to pick up a pair, contact Eddie at MyNismo.com, they had the best price around when I got mine last fall.

Do Brembo pads wear out faster than normal brake pads or about the same? (given the same amount of wear)

I have to agree with Z1, I have the Endless pads and they are great. Not one squeak the entire time they have been on. Perform well and wear well also. GLW whatever you choose.

it will certainly depend on the driver, and the pad, but given that the Brembos have more pistons vs non, that tends to improve pad life

what year do you have again? If you have an older z with the OEM single piston calipers, then pretty much any low dusting pad is going to have worse cold stopping bite compared to stock. For that design, there is a significant tradeoff between wear/dusting and performance, so keep that in mind. IMO, consider an upgrade to a set later model dual piston front brakes with the larger rear rotors. My brakes stop every bit as good as the older setup and hardly dust at all

I'm thinking about getting nismo pads myself but I heard that you shouldn't use them with factory brake rotors, why is this?

You absolutely can use them with factory rotors, just get them resurfaced.
