All comes in the territory of adjsutability. Why can't you easily change springs on shock/spring setups? I guess a better question would be, how are they that different?
well, lets say front....
I have yet to see front shocks - that have adjustable perches.
Rear is two part, spring in spring bucket, shocks at rear spindle....so that adds difficulty...etc....so cant have toe arms...must use spring bucket...
