What is the correct Goodridge SS Lines model for my 08 350Z Nismo? I recently purchased these and I am not sure if I got the correct part OR if anything is missing from the box. I checked Goodridge website but they didn't seem to have enough information.
I am not very good with installs so I had a friend (board member) help me with this and following is what he thought
The 2003-2006 Z's had banjo fittings. Your 2008 Brembo's have a hard line running to the caliper and they use flared fittings. I could not tell if the Goodridge lines were supposed to replace the hardline and flared fittings with braided lines and banjo fittings. When I looked at the Goodridge website, it does not list the 2008 Brembo brakes. I think you need to look for another manufacturer of brake lines that have flared fittings.
My question - Has anyone used Goodridge SS Lines on a 08 350Z with Brembos? I am assuming the brake lines on Nismo and other trims on 08 Z's with Brembos are all the same type.
- I ordered the part from OAKOS and they seem to have listed 08 350Z w/ Brembos for this
- I checked TIRERACK and they too list the lines to be compatible with 08 350Z Nismo
I checked a few other sites and all of them seem to have the same part number 22074
I'd appreciate if anyone has used these on 08 Z with Brembos and let me know if I am missing anything
Following is the picture of the lines that came in the box and a small packet with some bolts, washers and spring clips. If you want to look at full size of image, look HERE

I don't know , but they will be the same as an 03 to 05 with brembo's. Do they list a different part number for 03 to 05 with brembo's. If so , thats what you need.

Pull the flared end out of the caliper and look, check the thread size to the supplied bolts. If everythings good, install.

The banjo fitting bolts came with the new lines, but when I held them up to the flared fittings, it looked like the banjo bolts were much larger. Even if they did fit, it doesn't make sense to replace a small diameter hard line with a stainless braided over rubber aftermarket line. The hard line would be preferred. (Less expansion under pressure.)
I didn't want to open up the package since it appeared to be the wrong fittings and I didn't want to open up the brake line which would then require bleeding. (It was already late at night.) We stopped and checked the internet for application listings:
I checked autoanything.com website and they do not list Goodridge lines for a 2008 Nissan. (Any Nissan at all.) But they list this kit for the 2006. CLICK HERE FOR LINK OK, I don't normally shop there, it was the first to come up on Google.
When I checked Goodridge's UK website, (Because the US site was useless), it lists the 2003-2006 Nissan with Brembo as being that part number. CLICK HERE FOR LINK
That was enough information for me to pull up stops and say let's not try the fitting in the 2008 caliper.

Here's the reply I got from Goodridge
Looks like it will work. (according to Adam@Z1 also)

I had a look at the forum comments. The question I think is if the hardline to the caliper is replaced. Our kit is designed to replace this line. If he tries this and there are other issues please let me know. If there is something I missed let me know as well.

I looked around in the for sale thread and other thread with pics of Brembo's , all years have hardlines running into the caliper. Hope that gives you a little more peace of mind.https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...bo-brakes.html

Well, I feel better. I certainly was not comfortable retrofitting Mekatoka's beautiful NISMO with parts that didn't match the factory fittings. Had it been my car, I would have tried it. ![](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/icon38.gif)
D, I'm willing to help out any time you want to take another stab at it. Glad you don't need me to return any parts to Bart. (I'm still headed up there anyway.
