Default vibrations after new tires/brake pads

i just recently bought an 07 enthusiast. the rear tires were nearly bald and needed replacing as did the brake pads..so i went to mavis and got some bridgestone potenza pole positions installed in the rear as well as rear brake pads. since then, i've been experiencing vibrations when braking. i didn't notice these vibrations before and now it's pretty apparent. they told me warped rotors but i find it hard to believe my rotors magically warped the same day mavis was treating my car..any ideas?

Although the symptoms match warped rotors, i seriously highly doubt you warped them...

Did they balance the wheels? Do you have new weights in the wheel or are the old weights still on?

Did you/they bed in the brakes properly?

^ But no bed-in wouldn't cause vibrations, just glazed pads/rotors...right?

if you don't bed in the pads right the pads won't leave an even residue across the surface of the rotor and will cause the shake under braking due to the different friction co-efficient of the two different materials (rotor/pad residue)

New pads caused the vibration? Interesting.

it's actually not that bad of a vibration after i went out and drove it again, but i still don't believe them that i have a warped rotor.

Doubt it. You would have had to seriously work your brakes to get them that hot.

They may not be warped badly, but a simple resurfacing of the rotors wouldn't hurt to guarantee they are perfectly smooth.

should stop if its the brakes they have a break in period so just break longer when you going to stop, like start earlier.

How? You had it right the first two times, but managed to have your brain take a dump on the third attempt.

that could be it because the vibrations seem to be fading a bit

vibrations definitely aren't fading..time to get new rotors or have them checked out by someone else and see what they think
