Default alignment after camber kit install

so i just got my car aligned, but it seems that the camber issue wasnt fixed. the paperwork says it is, but visual inspection seems to look like i still might get inner tire wear. it says the camber is -2.0 degrees on both sides by the printout that i got. a big improvement over the -3.0/-2.4 i had originally...but its still not 0.

is this gonna wear my inner tires bad? hows my contact patch for drag racing?

i dont feel satisfied.

sorry i didnt specify...my fronts dont have a camber kit, only the rear. but its the rear thats bothering me. i did some more research and i found out that -2.0 is good for circut and autox on certain cars but not sure on the 350z...

-2 degrees wont affect tire wear too much and is ideal for performance. I only did toe bolts when I got coilovers and I am at -3.5 degrees without too much wear. I think I am going to get some camber arms, though. -2 will be my setting when I do.

Where did you get that idea that zero degrees camber is a good idea for the street?

......and not to mention if you were going for all out drag set-up you would want slightly positve camber out back to compensate for the load on the rear when the weight transfers to the butt end of the car. I would never consider this though unless it was a trailer, purpose car though. Along with a toe of 0 in the rear.

You learn something new everday, not sure why i never thought of it this way.

While on the subject did he mention what kit he went with in the back? I did the SPC front arms and removed them asap. Not sure if others had dimension problems with them as well. I did also have other suspension issues but uuugh JIC. Anyways off topic. Hopefully you figure it out.

How long have you been riding on -3 degrees? What tire width are you at? After my coilover install, I was driving without an alignment for a couple of days and my rear camber was around -3 degrees. I loved it. Noticable improvement around corners. I changed it to -2 during alignment because of the tire wear concerns. I have to say, I miss that -3 degrees. It felt awesome.

^Around 7 months now. I think I am going to swap the tires (right to left) when I am at the 1 year point. The tires do look like they are wearing a bit more, but definately not significantly. These are toyo T1Rs.
