Default Noob question about Rotora

Ok so I recently got some Venaci Spirits in 19's.(Work wheels for anyone that doesn't know) and I figured a nice BBK with red calipers would look really nice.

I've been researching prices and originally I was pretty set on StopTechs. Problem is for front and rear i'm looking at $3000-$3500. So then I saw Rotora's and found out pricing is significantly cheaper.

Can anyone give me some info on pros and cons of Rotora? Is Rotora a knock off brand or a "lesser" quality brand? Do they still perform?

I'm mainly going for looks with the red caliper but of course added stopping power is a plus.

Any feedback on Rotora is greatly appreciated.

thanks

Rotora is good stuff. BTW, $3000-$3500 for a new BBK is cheap

Rotora is cheaper because it is made where there is very low-cost labor (Taiwan), or at least until those rising labor costs catch up to other parts of the industrialized world. Go with the strongest brand you can find (AP Racing) and leave all the worries behind. These are brakes, the most critical safety system on any vehicle.

I got Rotoras on my car in a custom color (gunmetal)....4 grand for the complete set of 4 with drilled/slotted rotors...The brakes are ok but their customer service blows!! after less than a year the front calipers started to sweat out a little fluid....from where the face and the back of the calipers meet...I talked to the guys at Rotora and they told me that this is common and that the seals need to be changed...ok fine with me, but then they wanted to charge a couple hundred bucks for new seals...BS. brand new brakes and i gotta pay extra for that crap. The brakes perform and look very very good but im not a fan of their service at all...you would think after dropping 4 g's on a set of brakes they could give me a set of seals that r probably really worth about 20 bucks.

We've sold Rotora for several years and have not had any issues with them. They are limited in selection for replacement pads, offering only 3 compounds if I remember correctly, and replacement rotors are expensive compared to the price of a complete kit. Right now Rotora is having an inventory blow out sale on 13" kits for the 350Z among other applications.

Also keep in mind that the ad you linked to is for front brakes only. If you're interested in a 4 wheel package or just the fronts shoot me a PM or e-mail and I'll quote it for you. I can beat that listed price.

I don't get it, if you're mainly going for LOOKS, then why not just powdercoat your OEM ones? You can even customize it if you want, and cost WAYYYYYY less than Rotora.

Another option would be get on eBay and buy those "Brembo" caliper COVER, but they're gold with red letters, might not fit your color scheme......... and sorry I don't have the link......
