Default brake light coming on

i couldn't really come to a conclusion by reading other problems like mines because its just that complicated x.x

well my brake light comes on During hard acceleration and hard deceleration, (heres where i get lost and cant make a conclusion) i heard that with worn out brake pads the light will come on, and low brake fluid will cause it also. Okay But my z only has 17xxx miles..brake pad shouldn't be that worn out, and the brake fluid is half way out. So what do you guys think? ALso my rear brakes makes soo much sound its soo annoying worst than the Brembo sqeek prob ppl had with the brembo brakes.

brake fluid is halfway out? have you tried topping it off? It should be full always.

i guess tmr i will top it off and try it out. If it still comes on i guess the only thing left is the pads.

Low fluid usually will cause your brake light to come on, not the pads.

it could be the sensor for your e-brake coming loose when you accelerate or something along those lines. Try resseting your cars computer so it can re-program itself to see if the problem still pursists. Just disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 10 minutes or so but leave the positve connected. Also if your rear brakes make that much noise check the rotors you should be able to run your fingernail on it and not feel any bumps or ridges, if you do, that could be the loud rear brake noise. good luck

It's low fluid. Accel/decel cause the fluid to slosh back and forth in the reservoir. If you already have low fluid, then the float will trigger a low fluid warning.

I would check the pads anyway - if the fluid was full when the brakes were new...then the pads may be worn.

If you just top it off - then when you do the brakes later - the fluid will overflow if your not paying attention..
