Suspension making popping sounds after lowering
Hey guys, I just lowered my car 1.2" and now the front right is making popping noises. I looked and everything looks fine, even tried compressing the suspension with a jack to see if I could find were the noise is coming from.
I only does it when I go over a bump (speed bump, uneven road, pot hole) at lower speeds. It will do it at higher speeds but not like it does at lower speeds.
I'm suspecting it might be the actual strut, I do not want to tear everything down if I do not have to.
If anybody knows what is wrong or how to fix it I would greatly appreciate any info.
Thanks

If you temporarily disconnect one end of the sway bar / end link (and zip tie it, so it does not go all over the place) and go for a quick test drive, you can determine if it was binding or not

Could the bushings been damaged in the process of lowering the car? I say that because in order to remove the strut the control arm had to be pushed down to a good bit.

Theory #2: Could the actual spring be making the noise (ie: its not sitting properly on the upper rubber mount and is moving around) trying to settle out.
Just throwing that out

Did you replace A Arms with SPC or are you still on stock A Arms. If replaced check this: https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...-vs-spl-2.html. And do some searches will lead you to more if this is the case.

i had the same issue when i swapped springs same springs as yours, when i jacked up the car grabed the bottom of the wheel and lifted up i saw that the nut on the top plate that holds the spring on wasnt tightened all the way. try giving it a try when ever i hit a bumb it would pop like your saying. but again it may not be whats wrong.

I only replaced the springs, no A-Arms. I did a quick inspection last weekend and did not notice any loose bolts/nuts. I'll look again when I have more time, thanks for the input.
