The spacer will make power, the factory didn't leave off the spacer because they don't work or anything...

but the car came with the front brace, and the chassis is built incorporating it, I would NEVER recommend removing it. I've known people who have, and after a while when they go back to install it again, it doesn't fit because the fender walls and front bulkhead of the car flexed just that much.

go with a 5/16 spacer, the differences in HP gains between 5/16 and 1/2 are minimal at best, not worth it on the Z, keep the bar and install the 5/16 instead!

Cusco is nice and flat. i used this with MD MRev and 5/16' spacer and i didn't have to use the spacers for the strut bar. With the 1/2" spacer, you'll probably have to use a thin spacer and still clear the hood I think

I am considering removing mine. With my cage and all the weight I removed from the rear of the car I am trying to get as much off the front as possible.

I know the best answer is to try it and find out, but since its the dead of winter here, right now all I can do is speculate and get opinions on that.

My car has no stitch welding or seam welding, but does have an 8pt cage, cusco coil overs, cusco sways, and aftermarket end links.

Thoughts?

like I said, it's effectiveness depends on the level of other suspension work done. The more done, the less important the strut brace is

I do many suspension installs and upgrades...... and with the front of the z jacked up, removing the strut brace is one thing, but getting it back on wont happen easily with out adjusting it longer, then tightening it back up..........way different than if its on the ground.......the Z flexes with out it...

daily driving, etc, who the hell cares.........do what you want, its not gonna make a difference worth caring about or noticing...

Track etc, there are obvious losses in front end rigidity....i wouldn't remove it on my car for what i do with it....

I have the strut bar, front impact beam and added a solid brace at the nismo mass damper mount location.
