Default G35 gf210s on 350z???

Hey, so i found someone who took their tanabe gf210s off of their g35 sedan. He said he'll give them to me for $60 which is awesome, but im wondering if they will give me the right drop on my Z. I've looked and the spring FAQ, but it doesnt mention this scenario (i think)...I know they will fit, but will they give me the right kind of drop? Any info appreciated

springs your getting:
http://www.racinglab.com/tanabe-gf210-027.html

springs you should get:
http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/t...7-p-19782.html

the ones off the sedan have softer springs in the back and dont lower your rear enough as compared to their springs for your car. and considering the understeer 350z's have (imo) i would go with the stiffer springs in the rear which is how the 350z specific springs are set up

ok after re reading your firts post thats a helluva deal lol id go with those and just buy the rear only springs of the same model for a 350z later for less money than if you got the right set new. the fronts are similar enough in specs between the two i posted

the g35 ones actually lower you more (fronts only) too so when you get the right ones for the back too you will have a lower stance overall making it look a lot better since you will only get the one ride height the springs provide

a lot of g35 guys put 350z springs on their cars because it drops their car a half inch or so more than the ones intended for their cars. I'm thinking it would raise your car up if not have it as the same height as stock.

I think you have it backwards. The G35 springs provide more of a drop than Z springs. So putting G35 springs on the Z means an even lower drop than it would be with the Z springs.

THERES A LOWER DROP BECAUSE THE SPRING RATE IS LARGELY SOFTER ON G35 SPRINGS.
Will it fit? sure. Is it the right part? nah..... not so much. How much are the right springs anyways, like maybe 150-200 bucks? Just IMO is all... my .02. Anything worth doing is worth doing right the first time.. Ive wasted ALOOOOOOOOOT of cash changing my mind later on.
Just sayin.

TRUTH!!!

OP, just spend the $150-200 on the right springs and do it right the first time... Trust me, you will change your mind, and the labor involved on swapping the springs on the front struts is just not worth it...
