I just landed a set of used AP racing rotors, the 13" reds.
The only rotors Stillen has are the drilled and slotted. I cannot seem to be able to find just a blank in either 1 piece or two piece configuration.
I was thinking about using my OE Brembo rotors and just making the caliper offset bracket fit that.
Does anyone have a source for a replacement rotor for the 13" AP calipers that is a blank, I do a lot of track events and using real pads I don't need/want the extra non-sense of slotted/drilled. To me that is wasted friction surface.
thanx

The advantages of a slotted rotor far outweigh any perceived negatives of the very small loss in surface contact area. I've been involved in professional motorsports for over 20 years and have only worked with teams using plain-face rotors maybe twice in that time. They just don't have the "bite" that the other options have. The slots also assist with pad bedding and reduce the chances of glazing very expensive track pads.
There is absolutely zero loss in brake torque regardless of which face pattern is ordered. In fact, all options other than plain face will provide a higher initial torque response.

Stillen has slotted-only 13" (330x25.4mm) rotors on the shelf. This configuration is preferred for track duty by professional racers all over the world (when J-Hooks are not available).

I really cant tell tell a tenth of a second difference between blanks and slots, I generally go for the best price.
Last year I did 25 events and only went through two sets of rotors and 7 sets of pads.
Snagged to APs in search for a little better hydraulics over the OE brembos.
Cool. Got a part number? The chick I've been making at stillen hasn't got a clue. She made it sound like all that existed was drilled and slotted.
