Default Rotora Brakes

Ok so Z1 has a crazy sale on Rotora 6 front and 4 rear brakes. I plan On doing some track stuff with my Z. I do auto cross and hopefully one day sebring and I dont want to have to worry about my brakes heating up. Can't really find any info on the brakes has far as them being good track brakes or if there is any minor or major issue that have happened with them. Basically I want good brakes that are not crazy expensive and do a damn good job and stopping my Z. Any thoughts???

They look pretty, people buy them for that reason. If you need a brake to perform, look elsewhere

Rotora = not a track brake kit
Pad selection sucks.
They are for show cars not go cars

A fair amount. My 2 buddies have Z's and one has AP rancing 6 frotn 4 rear and the other has Stoptechs 6 front 4 rear. I have heard different things about the rotoras. what to you mean they dont perform??? do they heat up fast or have severe issues??? they have about the same clamp load as the others. the design is the same as the AP racing, but they are just cheaper. and as long as carbontic makes the pads im good soooo.

StopTech or Brembo, that's just my opinion for track. Or if you want to save money, I think Akebono should be affordable.... but to be honest if you're not in a crazy category and tracking all the time, a simple brake pad replace, rotor resurface/replace, flush, line change is all you need.

If you MUST, the stoptech 355mm 6 piston kit

Your OEM brakes with good pads/fluid/rotors will be more then enough until you're really fast

I like the stoptechs. However they are really heavy. The AP racing stops just as well and are not near as heavy. As for My car, she is pretty fast. Im all N/A but its putting down over 305 whp and 275 wtq on a modest dyno. and i have a 4.08 so it gets up and goes. and i need the stopping power for turns and so the heat will not be an issue. Akenbonos and the stock brembos heat up really fast on a track under heavy braking and not going very fast to get the wind to cool the brakes.

Agreed. Stay away from D2, Alliance, etc. Stick with stoptech or brembo. Endless is good too but very pricey

Wow alot of misinformed people here about Rotora Brakes. I run them on my Z. Track it as well. Zero issues. The have a good pad section if you get a catalog.

Do your own research.

I hope you know a BBK just reduces fade, it doesn't make you stop faster. Tires are the biggest factor to stopping power. If you have good pads/fluid on your OEM brakes you should be fine, if you're getting fade you are riding your brakes too much; going deeper into braking zones before you push your brakes.

Btw I make 302whp and I don't have braking problems anymore since I stopped riding my brakes into braking zones and starting going in later and doing a smooth hard push on the peddle.
