The E-brake hardly works. Can barely hold the car on a slight hill. When I engage at ~15-20 mph it will slowly slow the car. My base 350z has 38,000 miles on it.

bump im having the same problem!!!!! is there a screw or bold to tighten that i cant find to make my daym ebrake work?

well.. its at the base of your e brake.. kinda like most cars.
10mm nut over a long screw connected to an even longer cable..
remove shift boot, cover etc and adjust and leave a mm or 2 of slack when its down/off

 

I believe you have to remove the cup/coin holder in the center console.
The parking brake mechanism can be seen.You can adjust the ratchet mech
with a socket wrench.There have been several tutorials on this...search.

 

I have tried searching for pictures or a write-up of how to remove this. Any tips? I have tried pulling the fabric coin holder thing with no luck. I have a 2008 350z if that matters.
