Default Stock Brake Pad Replacement Suggestions

Hey guys,

So I've looked through some threads, and mostly I see people upgrading their brake pads to very high end stuff. I am not looking to upgrade my brake pads, but rather replace with good quality ones. If I go to NAPA and get ceramic brake pads would I see a good quality product? or is that something that people had bad experience with? In particular I was looking at these here:http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...18B_0319671542. Any input would help, thnx!

Try it and report back. My preference has been OEM or Stoptech.

HPS pads are very gentle on rotors, don't dust much, handle heat a little better than stock pads, and seem to last for more miles too.

The only downside is slightly less bite than stock pads.

Hard to beat the price of the Stoptech 309 street pads. I am on my second set and have been happy with them for both HPDE and daily driving. You can find them on Tire Rack, that is where I ordered my last set.

Yeah, the Stop Tech 309 pads are good. The only thing I don't like is the amount of brown dust they emit. Ordered mine over the phone from R1 Concepts and got a real good deal because I told then I was a forum member.

Well I decided to wait and ordered a set of Stoptech 309s and drilled/slotted rotors all the way around. First time working on brakes ever so hopefully it will be pretty easy since I will not be doing SS lines. Wish me luck!

It's very easy... impact gun or a good breaker bar should pop the brake caliper bolts off easily. The hardest thing is probably getting the pads and small pad brackets back in caliper. They tend to keep falling off before you can get the caliper swung back in place!
