Car is uneven for alignment machine?
Hey guys.
I have Tein Street Basis on my 05. The car is level on the ground (measured it from four corners). I took it in for an alignment after changing the rear lower camber link, and the dealership says the alignment computer will not continue because the ride height is uneven.
I have the collar adjusters in hand, what procedure should I use to make sure it's straight? Dealership didn't charge me and said if I got it sorted they would do the alignment free of charge if I brought it back.

This doesn't make sense. The alignment equipment attaches to your wheel, it would not know if there was any variation in ride height, except maybe if you had a flat or low tire. Also, if the computer would not run, how did you end up with an alignment sheet?

All I know is that I need to make sure my ride height is even FR=FL RR=RL

Sounds fishy to me too. Never heard of someone not being able to align the car because of an uneven ride height. Try taking it to a suspension specific auto shop around your area for an alignment.

Maybe a rear spring has moved out of its seat...it can happen on very low cars...you jack it up, the suspension droops down...if the spring is too short it can move in its seat. That is why some Coil overs setups have "helper" springs to keep the spring in place at full droop...
