Yeah, I just actually looked at your first picture closely and you can see it right there. The pads on the left side of the pic stick up quite a bit more than the right.

That's where the 3 or 4mm that you need is and the only spot it's contacting the inner wheel

Pop your pads off and check for a thin lip of unused pad meat on one side.

It isn't necessarily a bad thing and you won't notice it unless you swap pads for track days but they certainly don't fit "true".

You probably run 19" wheels also.

That may be the case of not perfect fitment.

To me that's fine though, the brackets fit just like they said it would and that's what I was saying.

I've actually ran stock 18x8s, and aftermarket 18x10/10 and 19x9.5/10.5
