Default compression rod install question

So I've looked over all the DIY threads and I've noticed that some suggest tightening all the bolts when the car is on the ground while others say nothing about this. The FSM also seems to say that the bolts should be tightened when the wheels are on the ground.

So am I reading this correctly???? how am I supposed to get under the car and tighten everything when the car is back on the ground??? doesnt seem right

Yes. You need a 4 post lift to tighten those bolts with the wheels on the ground.

i refuse to ever pay a mechanic for anything. if i've taken apart my engine myself im sure i can deal with a compression rod. so i guess i can just jack up the axles when tightening the bolts

for someone who has taken an engine out,etc.. supposedly, you sure are having a hard time with these compression rods and how you're supposed to do it lol.
