Default upgrade the OEM shock absorver?

what you think?

I need some improved suspension and i have 3 options in my mind.

Keep all the OEM settings but manufacture a improved shock absorber (I have the possibility to make them with my specifications but just the shock) and I was thinking in keeping the same suspension geometry. I think I don’t need any more changes for a daily road car.

Buy some nice coilovers at a fair price and spend more money than the option before and with the same results.

Buy some serious coilovers with on board regulation and so on…(not a possibility now)

Need some advise on that

replace the shocks with the Nismo OEM shocks, Koni yellows, or D-specs if you can find them, you can go higher spring rates with the Koni Yellows and the nismo OEM shocks, if you ever want to upgrade those

I would say if your looking to put drop springs on than yes since your already going to have the shocks taken apart, but honestly i would learn on the cars stock springs first, the car was set up really well from the factory, and most people never take it to the limits to understand what they need to upgrade.

I had the same thoughts as you about putting on coilovers to make my suspension epic, but i only had money to buy shocks, and it was probably the best thing that i could have done. Since i have done track days on the stock suspension only things i have replaced were the shocks, the suspension bushings, and i upgraded the sway bars.

My car turns on a dime, and i know how to toss the car around a track with ease. My next upgrade will be the OEM Nismo suspension from the 350z Nismo, I have driven a Z with this suspension that wasnt a Nismo, and his car was stupid fast around turns.
