BC coilovers will lower the car, but there are a lot better coilovers available out there.

Just to lower the car, Tien Basis. If you want to try improve handling, Stance coilovers would be the cheapest i would start with.

I just put in the basis, definitely best bang for the buck. Not super low but definitely an improvement over 12 year old oem suspension. Best price I found and they shipped for free and I got them in 2 days.

Good luck with whatever you end up going with

Ended up going with the tein basis because Mr Terra up their said they were decent when I thought because the low price they must have been garbage... ive only had them on a few days but can say best $600 ive spent on this car yet. (Worst $600 being the carbon fiber hatch)

How do you like the ride? I suggested it to my friend with an Evo 8 and he hates them.

So far I am happy as a pig in ****, its not as harsh as the oem suspension, and handling has improved. (Maybe just in my head but it feels noticeably better)... Also looks better although my sunken in oem wheels are more noticeably in need of a better offset...

Car is an 04 with 75k miles, it was time for some updates, but if I had not been so hesitant about them because the price I would have gotten them much sooner and would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want ultra low and needs some new shocks, and wants some lowering springs.

I was originally going to go with the bc because their $1000 price tag also seamed attractive, but having so many options in suspension I usually just get frustrated and roll the dice and hope for the best. So far so good.

Simple setup, easy to adjust, hard to screw up the setup and have great resale if you decide to change direction in the future.

Should of got the bc's.

Those $600 lowering springs are going to cost you more than those Bc coilovers once the new springs destroy your 12 year old struts within the next few months. Then you'll need struts to match your springs lol

dboy- Curious to see how they hold up over time DD'ing. I was trying to make the choice between tein basis or tokico hp+s tech springs and ended up goin the shock/spring combo.

It was a toss up, I was planning on the tokico s-tech or even stock spring's myself but I figured what the hell, I honesty don't drive my car that much... It's more like a weekly driver... Hopefully over the summer I use it more, im lazy at 6 am and have 3 other cars that need a weekly use.
