Default Akebono BBK & dual caliper compatibility

Just bought my 03 350z and it already has the akebono big brake kit installed with the nissan caliper in the front and the Infiniti caliper in the rear with 2 piece drilled and slotted rotors.

my question is, is it possible to run a dual caliper setup such as the gktech kit, with a stock non brembo caliper with the akebono kit or would I need to by a second set of brembo calipers for it to work?

The stock brembo and regular caliper are the same mounting spacing, but the rotor thickness and diameter are different. I believe you will need to match whatever the rotor is.

Right, I'm just not sure if a stock nissan caliper would fit over the larger rotors, I think they're 14" rotors, I'm not sure what stock rotor diameter is

Ahh, no. Neither the brembo or the standard caliper will fit over the 13.8" akebono rotors. You will need another set of akebono calipers.

The stock Z rear rotors are either 11.5" 12.68" or 12.76" depending on which brake package.

Okay so the akebono calipers are deeper than a brembo but also mount in the same position
