Default Brake failure

Have owned an 05 350z for a bout half a year now and haven't had any problems with it but lately had the car shut off on me about 3 times in 2 months at a stop and just last week I was driving under a bridge and going down I suddenly felt like a car had hit me from behind checked but there was no car near me and suddenly brakes stopped working and battery light, brake light, engine light came on turned the car off then back on and it all went back to normal ,wanted to know what could have caused this luckily I was driving slow and the car stopped at the bottom.

Have you tried pulling codes? The ABS section will provide separate codes and will definitely hold in memory anything that led to total brake failure.

Emergency braking is not a feature on an '05 Z33. As stated above, you should get any codes read.

Re-read your original post, and wonder if your Z actually shut down completely when going down under that bridge. If the engine stopped, you won't have any hydraulic assist for your brakes and the car will feel very heavy without power steering. You should still check on any codes held in memory and correct them before starting to assume it's a defective brake system.
