Don't forget these events are big media and company advertsing there products.

I bet ya that Sherwin did that kit for them special for the D1 event.

This is a weird example. There are plenty of real racers (who actually use and depend on their brakes) who run Wilwood brakes. Why would you choose car-ballet as an example for a performance mod?

i think brakes are pretty important in drifting to control the car

I don't think anyone is suggesting that drifters remove their brakes altogether. The point we are making is that they certainly don't need the increased heat capacity and fade resistance of big-brakes like the AP 6 piston kit. It's purely a cosmetic mod for them - just the way drifting is purely "show".

That's why it's weird to use drifters as an example of people using a BBK. Especially, when there are real racers using the same products. It's like saying 24" chrome wheels are a great performance mod because Puff Daddy has them on his Escalade. Who cares?
