if you have a 03-05 z grab a set of 06 and up brakes even the non brembos are an upgrade

06 and newer non Brembo brakes will be better than the 300Z brakes. Not sure about the 03 to 05 non-Brembo setup.

Besides, those calipers are meant to be used on tiny 11" rotors so you'll get a good amount of unswept area on your OEM rotors.

Let's just say using washers to adapt a brake caliper is a terrible ****ing idea.

Like the others have said, it's a downgrade for several reasons. Even if performance were better with the 300ZX brakes, I'd stick with the Z33 brakes unless performance difference was huge.

Its not necessarily a downgrade from base non brembo calipers...

And whn I stated washers, I meant at least three to four medium thickness washers total on both calipers.

To each his own, but they do work

I driven 6k miles on that set up with no issues, then sold the car....

I still the car rolling around with the brake setup a year later

He definitely has SINGLE piston (pre 06) fronts....so this is prolly the CHEAPEST solution and a good choice as well. If I were to go through the trouble of doing this, I would do the Brembos and call it a day.
