Default Hawk HPS brake Pads?????

am planning on putting these Hawk HPS brake pads
on my '04 roadster, it has 3800 miles on it,,,,

if i replace only the Front brakes, will there be
a slightly different feel on my brake pedal
b/c the Rear brake pads are slightly more worn in
compared to the ones going to be put up front (Hawk HPS)
or will it AutoMatically self adjust?
please let me know.....

is there any break in procedures also for
the new front brake pads?????

thanks

Installed the HAWK HPS this weekend with 3200 miles on old brakes with no noticeable effect on braking. The box has directions on seating the new pads..

Did you buy the Hawk's yet? I heard their hard on the rotors compared to a Carbotech or Pagid pad.
You should do a few 60mph to 0mph hard stops then a couple 80mph to 0mph to help bed in the pads.

This is from Raceshopper.com:

Hawk Brake Bedding-in Procedure
Step 1:
Make 6-10 slow-downs from approximately 30-35 mph to 5 mph. applying moderate pressure. Do not come to a complete stop.
Step 2:
Make an additional 2 to 3 harder stops from approximately 40-45 mph. to zero.
Step 3:
DO NOT DRAG THE BRAKES! (after stopping - do not leave your foot on the brake pedal)
Step 4:
Allow 15 mintues or more for the brake system to cool down.
Step 5:
Your new Hawk pads are ready for use.

I had put those on when the stock pad start to run out around 10k miles, they brake really nice, but for some reason, my still squeak all the time at low speed. I've bedd them and everything, it will go away, then it will come back again. I've just reach close to 19k miles now, and the long squeak to stop has came back big time!! Pretty much every single stop now? Has anyone experience that? Does those pad wear out fast too? and I don't think I drive that hard? Anybody?
oh, I had cut the rotor around 12k miles, so the rotor should be fine.

If you replace the fronts only make sure you have a pair of rears handy. The rears wear faster due to the bias and their smaller size. I replaced both with a harder front pad and noticed less understeer due to the increased grip from the fronts.
Axxis ultimates front, Porterfields rear. Neither are true track pads but are a good compromise for street and occasionl track.
Squeeking is more a function of pad pressure, especially for high perf pads. Try getting on them hard and off fast.

I know this is a little late since you've already installed but, I installed mine on the front only with about 8k miles on the car. I applied the "no squeak" gell to the back of the pads & bedded them per the instructions. I have absolutely no squeak and love the fact that the dust issue is resolved. all that dust drove me nuts! I'll install on the rear when I need new pads.

Now that I know they work I think I'll put them on my other cars too.

Well, I have had the Hawk HPS installed for a few months now, and they just started squeeking in the front... (Front Right, specifically)

I have tried doing a couple hard stops, but to no avail.

I am going to take the pads off this weekend, and rough them up a little with some 100 grit sandpaper, re-apply some anti-squeel on the back of the pads, and re-install. I might take a scotchbrite pad and some soapy water to the rotor as well, to make sure there is nothing stuck on the rotor surface as well...
