drop without camber adjusters.. how long did tires last? (eibach drop guys)
I am getting tein basics (i know the topic says eibach, but thats just because that is the same drop i will be setting my basics to). For those of u running as close to factory spec as possible without camber adjusters, how long are ur tires lasting in between changes? How long WOULD they be lasting... im trying to figure out mathematically if it will be worth it to me to spend what a new set of tires would cost for camber arms. I am just goin back to good ole algebra I. There are two different linear equations here and i want to see at what # of miles they cross and are the same price.... help me out
btw my setup with be volk gt-c 245-35-19/275-
35-19 8.5 front and 9.5 rear with tein basics at about a 1.3 inch drop all around.
and how is driveablility changed with negative camber? I have heard that it is better for traction and turning.. is this tru? it would make since i guess logically

You can go 0.80 inches lower and stay close to spec camber. I am one inch lower and have been told I can expect a 10% reduction in treadwear. Sorry, those are the only numbers I have.

I just replaced my tires with about 15000 miles on them. I had the car aligned when new, but never got around to doing it after lowering. the rear tires had no abnormal wear at all, the fronts just a very slight feathering, but thats because the alignment shop was unable to get my toe into spec.

Now, our G35c that we had is another story. I lowered it, then got it aligned 3000 miles later and the insides of the rears were already feathered quite a bit. The toe was out 7 degrees! they couldn't get that into spec either, but played with the camber and were able to make up for it.
