Default Girodisc racing rotors

Hello,
I wanted to introduce the Girodisc product to everybody here at the My350Z forum.

Girodisc is producing lightweight, quicker cooling, 2-piece brake rotors for the front and rear of the Track model Z and the G35 Coupe. These rotors are perfect for those looking to spend track days with their Z, and want the best performing rotors to match the Track package system. The Girodisc system is also cost effective in the long run.

Nissan dealers want more than $500 EACH for replacement Track system rotors, Infiniti dealers want as much as $600!

The Girodisc is not only a lighter and better brake rotor, but it costs less than the factory part!

Once the girodisc is mounted, only the cast iron rotor needs to be replaced when it wears out, and it costs only a fraction of the OE part. The components are all high strength, and race proven. The rotors are zinc plated and will never show rust on the inside or outer ring.

Have a look at the following pictures, and then check out the website at www.girodisc.com

-Eric

If you are not a forum sponsor, I am guessing that this thread will be deleted.

I know I asked this when you posted on 350ZMotoring.com but, why no application for non-Brembos?

Hi Teh,
We will probably be sponsoring on this and several other forums very soon, I just wanted to try and get the word out first.

The non-brembo rotors and calipers present a difficult issue of sizing and packaging. It is not possible to get the two-piece construction to fit within the space between the hat section and the caliper on those rotors.
Also, developing a casting for those rotor sizes will be expensive. We decided to produce rotors to fit the track Z and Evo 8 first.
If demand gets strong enough, we might be able to find a way to do it.
Also, more customers we have spoken with in our research are upgrading to larger brake kits for the non-track cars rather than just spending money on rotors.

Hope that helps.
Eric

plus, for the price of these rotors, you could just upgrade the whole brake system on a non-brembo car. They do look sweet though!

supra crazy, the OEM replacements at a Nissan dealer are about $1100.

The Girodiscs are less expensive and better than the OE part.
