You have done a great job in the selection of your mods. All of them are excellent and the brake kit is awesome. Your car is a sight to behold. Looks like a fine neighborhood you live in as well. Bet you love the N.C. housing costs in comparison to California.

ok, one more question. does your parking brake still
work after the rear brake kit install?

I got the car back but the parking brake does seem to
work anymore.

You have to line up the hole in the rotor with the little round piece in the parking brake shoe. Once again...I wish I had a picture here. but if you remove your rear rotor, you'll see a little plastic plug that should be inserted in there. Hopefully, the mechanic remembered to transfer that little rubber plug from the oil rotors to the new. That hole sould line up with the round spring on the parking brake assembly when you put the rotor back on the hub..

one more question.

This Saturday, I paid the mechanic to adjust the parking brake
as you and Sherwin have noted. Once apart, we realized that
the real problem is the hat depth.

The parking brake is hitting the hat, but only grabbing by
a quarter of an inch. The hat is only 36mm deep where as
the stock rotor is much deeper (allowing the full parking brake
to grip).

So, did your hat also have this problem?

The mechanic also noted that the old rotor was deep enough
to enclose the rear brakes (from rain). The new hat will allow
rain to get in and may rust the parking (drum) brake.

No, I didnt notice a reduction in braking pressure. Maybe Sherwin can chime in.

Like I said, I just lined up that hole with the spring thingy on the brake drum, and everything worked fine.
