Default Brake pad opinions

Has anybody tried Ceramicool brake pads or Carbotech? Any opinions will be appreciated.

Not sure I want to go with Hawk or even Nismo pads, hawks can be noisey and the Nismos aren't supposed to be used with the OEM rotors or they will tear them up.

I'm looking to enhance my street set up, this isn't my track car, looking for quiet operation, low/no dust, with improved bite.

Thanks for you thoughts,
Steve

I've been using porterfield r4s's for years. They've got a little more bite than stock and don't dust that much more. I'm not as happy with the axxis ultimates that came with my stoptech kit because they create a lot of dust.

I love the carbotech Bobcats for street and Panthers for track.

I just upgraded to track brembos and the first thing I did was order my Bobcats for the street. No noise and no dust. I have had the stock brembo pads going for 4 days now and the dust is nuts compared to my old brakes with Bobcats. I miss my Bobcats. Maybe by the end of the week I will have them!

Yeah, I have the Hawk Hps too and have no noises either, even the first day they were installed. They leave almost no brake dust and braking feels just fine.

Hawk HT10 Front, Carbotech XP9 Rear :: Track
Axxis Ultimate Front, OE Rear :: Street

This is for a Stoptech 332 Front BBK, and Touring rear.

I have used Carbotech Bobcat/Hawk HPS/Hawk HP+

I found the bobcats and HPS were very similar. The HPS had a bit more initial bite where as the bobcats needed a bit of heat.

The HP+ were great but are noisy after you put some miles on them.

I have the hawk hps front and back on stoptech slotted rotors... Holy **** do these pads make alot of noise. It's driving me mad really, sounds like I am driving an old buick when coming down to a slow stop. Any more recommendations on quiet pads that perform?

OK - let's get back on topic - - has anybody else ever heard of the Ceramicool?? I'm leaning towards them, but the bobcats sound like a strong second choice - -

Thanks,
Steve

I recommend HPS.

ReavTek,
Have you bed-in your pads properly?
