Default Buying a new 350z

i am thinking of buying a new 350Z, and I had a few questions. my 2001 lightning was just stolen so it will be about a month before i get the money for a new car. I want a touring model, with an automatic. did most of you get the DVD navigation? is it worth the 2g's? Can you play DVD's on it too, or is it strictly for navitgation. Also, what did you pay for your car. I priced what I want with options, and with the DVD it came to about $36,000. Is there haggling on that price? how far down has anyone gone from that price? I am also looking at the Infiniti G35 Coupe. Does anyone have an opinion on why I sholud get either car? thanks for any help.

ummm well nav is only nav, TV in front seat=illegal. so they wouldnt offer that from the factory...

as for what we payed, those with preorders got MSRP for the most part, those waiting will also get MSRP, those that are pulling them off the lots(like me) ussually pay a grand or 2 over, tho I got mine for MSRP(only way I was gonna buy one).

as for automatic, be aware what your turning down, same goes for the G35 coupe, to get an auto you give up some options. as for 36000, that seems high... but I guess. I thought the auto was like 31base, and 2 for the nav, the other options dont add up to 3grand. but anyway not important.

great car, Youll love it. the coupe is a bit of a looser ride depending if you get the sport package or not. ALOT heavier, but you should be used to that... coupes heavier than the sedan actually. and you give up some hp, and all in all are gonna lose betwenn .5 and 1 second on the 0-60 time.

The Z is a bit more 'racy' in appearance than the G. The interior of the Z is a bit more crowded... or perhaps it wraps around you a bit better than the G. There is more eye candy for the driver in the Z. The G has _much_ nicer interior materials, plus 2 vestigial seats in the back.

In the end, I wanted racy and cozy, went with the Z. Nav is a pricey option... if you want it, buy it -- it's pretty neat. You can go to an infiniti dealership to try it out if you want... do it on a G35 sedan.

I think the best I saw for price was 500 under MSRP. Good luck getting more than that. I agreed to MSRP. I got a touring 6MT w/nav... it should be here in dec.

I think he said he was interested in the Touring model with an automatic.
