18 years old and I pay about 275 per month, clean driving record. For reference I paid about 150 per month on a civic.

Edit: That is for 300/300 coverage

I'm doing quotes atm also. I'm 25 with a clean record. My two best quotes are Geico $180/mo and Safeco $170/mo. Both are full cover; 100/300/100 liability, $500 deductibles on comp. and coll., and 100/300 uninsured protection.
Call every place you can think of if you're shopping for new car insurance! I could have given up after the first 5 quotes from different companies and I would be paying $225/mo

$392 / 6 mo

I'm over 40, have 3 other cars on my policy + my home too.

The secret to cheap insurance is pretty simple = no tickets, no accidents, be old, & be married.

Like someone said, my agent told me it has a lot to do with the driver. 16 years of driving, no tickets, no accidents, no violations = $313.75 every 6 months so @$52/month ($500 deducatable). Dont know why someone called BS on me, I cant answer all the hows and whys of the insurance industry though, all I know is what I pay:

BODILY INJURY LIABILITY $46.20
RENTAL REIMBURSEMENT $12.50
PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY $48.70
UNINSURED MOTORIST BODILY INJURY $22.70
UNINSURED MOTORIST PROPERTY DAMAGE $4.85
COMPREHENSIVE $39.70
COLLISION $139.10
6 Month Vehicle Total: $313.75

I dont find a lot of these high rates unreasonable, for new young drivers with no experience to have a 300hp sports car?

It depends on the cost of living in your state, it depends on where you live cause some of the #'s I've seen mentioned here are outrageously low I pay 200 a month for a 98 max and that is for me and a family member on that policy. And neither of us has had a ticket in 6 years or so.

The Z is considered a 2 door coupe and not as a sports car for some reason according to insurance companies.
when i traded my 2001 acura integra in for the Z the insurance dropped slightly in price.
I guess nissan did this to get more people into Z's.

$524/6 months with full coverage, no tickets, no accidents, and high coverage limits (250/500/100). This is in Tampa, Florida. For some reason, a C6 Vette is less to insure than the Z. That was a surprise to me.

I am in the market for a Z, GEICO quoted me the following:

$190 per month, $500 deduc on everything, $100,000 coverage across the boards.

I am 29 years old, live in South Fl., perfect driving record. Sounds high doesn't it? Florida has very high insurance rates thoug. You can lower your insurance by taking off 24 road side assitance, your Z should have that anyway. Otherwise opt for AAA. You can also remove rental coverage. Removing both of those will knock about $25 off of your monthly payment.

Mystery Guest,

Check with Progressive. They quoted me several hundred dollars less than Geico. Road side assistance was only $7 for 6 months. I do not think Nissan provides roadside assistance for any of their cars. Rental car coverage was even less at about $5 for 6 months.
