36k is too much.. IMO anyway. 36k OTD on the other hand would be a pretty good deal

so you guys think that its a good price? do you think that if i offer him 35 cash he will go for it?

at 35,623 he said my lease payment was 566 a mon, i was like thats insane considering i went in there for was 2dr coupe enthusiast lol, so i was no prepared to hear that kind of price

after i test drove the GT roadster and seen the color combo i was hooked, and then the price came the 7k drop in price was nice to hear...

also i have another question if ne 1 can help me with ... y r the lease prics on these cars so damn high i got a buddy who just picked up a 06 caddie CTS for 350 a mon with 3gs down on a lease. i been looking around for a Z but these prices r crazy, didnt wanna spent more then 400 a mon, but i might have to splurge and take the loan out from my credit union.. cant beat 3.95%

I picked up a touring roadster that stickered for 41k for 32k. It was a leftover 04 last year. I think you can do a bit better.

Remember, there is retail, invoice, AND WHOLESALE. Don't beleive them, they obviously are making money...

Good Luck!!! The car is amazing!

paying a dealer cash won't give u an edge. they actually prefer non-cash because then they ahve the opportunity to offer you a loan and gain percentage off that loan for the designated amount of time (4 years) paying cash won't give u any advantage to negotiate. unless they are corrupt ofcourse

Take it, thats a great deal! If you get it, whatever you do, DO NOT let them clean it. Black attracts swirls like Saudi Arabia attracts terrorists!

How many miles does it have? If it was driven, I bet they already washed it, and has swirls!

I paid $38,000.00 in may and I thought that was a reasonable deal.

you should check KBB for the invoice value, do not pay more than that, less than invoice would even be better, if they don't agree go somewhere else

Invoice was @37,000.00 on mine with floor mats, trunk mat, chrome kick panels, mud guards, wheel locks and destination. I paid about $1000.00 over invoice. I was happy with that. I've worked for a Honda dealership for the last 11 years and I have no problem paying a dealer a reasonable profit on a rare vehicle. When I got my Grand Touring it was the only one I could find in RI.

Pricing on cars changes quickly. The price you can get now will be different than it would have been 3 months ago. Right now I believe there is $1000.00 cash back.
I recommend you go to Edmunds.com and look up the invoice with the options you want. Don't forget to add destination. If you can get one for close to invoice minus the $1000.00, you are doing alright!

I know you're talking an '05, but 4 months ago I got my left over '04 for $2500 below invoice...

A 2004 Roadster Touring with Navigation, Floor Mats, Splash guards, Net, Aluminum kick plate, Trunk mat...

They showed me an ivoice of $36,298 (matched kbb.com)
We haggled back and forth and they accepted $35,700. Then there is a $2K rebate on top of that from Nissan.

Total for me was: $35,700 + $300 (mandatory Dlr. Conveyance Fee) + Tax & Title - $2,000 rebate.

It was a 6 speed Silverstone and had 37 miles before I test drove it.

I also had the choice of either getting $2K rebate OR 1% for up to 60 months (both from Nissan). I paid in full and took rebate.... $2K rebate or 1% was only good on 2004's a the time.

My advice is beat them down as low as you can on the '05 and put all the money you saved into mods. The day I picked up my Z I ordered my Supercharger, exaust and gauges.

wow ok i guess i gotta try to haggle some more. i dunno i just want this car so bad.. if im gonna have to finance the car due to insurance purposes the car cannot be in my name and neither can the loan.... so im gonna have to finance... we will c whats gonna happen. the price this guy gave me on a finace would be like $615/mon with 3 g's down. id probably put close to 8-10gs down hopefully bring my payments down...

as for mods. as much as i would want rims , TT, and a system right away it might have to wait a little lol

when i bout my bike i painted it the week after and added about 2gs in mods inc. lights ( neons, ansd hid kit) so the mod bug hits me hard but affording my habbits is the prob lol

thanx guys
and please keep the info comming
