I bought my 03' 350z Touring from local dealer..And when I bought them dealer said it had warranty until 36,000 miles or until DEC 06'..And that's what paper said...But when I took it to Nissan Dealer to get some stuff checked out they said my warranty was over DEC of 05'..Am I just screwed?? I bought my car in Jan of 06' and it had 25,000 miles on it..I called Dealer I bought the car from. and they said they will buy me a Nissan extended warranty for year or 12,000 miles just like they said...But now it has been almost 3 weeks w/o any call..And when I call them they just say they were busy..Do I have any rights of any law?? Or Am I just screwed??

if you have it written down on the contract you should be safe. if they take too long, claim to them that they are avoiding a legal contract and if they don't act soon, they will be speaking to your lawyer very soon.

Do you have that in writing?

Run a Car Fax report to find out when the car was placed in service.

No I don't have that in writing..They just said they will do it..Dealer place is hour away from here..So I just talked to them on the phone..And the guy said he will call me back today..And I didn't hear anything from him..What should I do?? Keep calling him??

They also told me I was the second owner..And I'm third owner..What the heck!!! They also told me that he took care of it like brand new car..And it is like brand new car..And it has been in accident..Should I print the CARFAX out and take it down there and talk to them??

Placed in service on 12/2002 means that the bumper-to-bumper warranty expired 12/2005.

But Dealer told me that it had warranty when I bought em..Because they told me that original owner bought the car in DEC 2003. So they told me I'll have warranty until DEC 2006. So that's why they were buying my extended warranty through NISSAN..I guess that's taken care of it now..I just talked to the dealer and he told me that he mailed me the paper that I need to sign..

But I feel that they lied to me about the ownership..That I was the second owner and now I found out that I'm third owner..And they told me this car has been taken care of like brand new car all the time...And I found out that it has been in accident..So..I was thinking I was going to print the CARFAX report out and go down and talk to them..Will it help??

Do I just need to talk to attorney?? Or am I just flat out screwed?

I don't think an attorney will do you any good.

More important, is the car running okay? Any problems?

you should always ask for a carfax report before buying a car. Chances are they already had one printed up and all you had to do was ask. I feel for you but I would sure as hell ***** at the manager and then take it higher if you need to. I'm not sure if they have to tell you that it was wrecked but you would think that's the right thing to do. The warrenty issue is a tough one cause it's out of warrenty, once again if you would have asked for a carfax you would have seen that. Sounds like you went to a shady dealer. If it was a nissan dealer call nissan directly.

Warranty issue is solved..They said they are sorry. And they will give me Nissan Extended warranty for year just like they said in the contract.

All I'm worrying about is that it has been in accident.

Yes car runs fine..But it's just the fact that I found out that it has been in accident...That makes me angry..And I felt like they lied to me..

And I bought my car form Infiniti Dealer of Valencia..So..I thought they are pretty good dealer...Anyway..I think I'll print the CARFAX out and go down there on Thursday..And talk to them and see what they gonna do..

I wouldn’t worry too much about it until you find out exactly what happened. It says that it was an accident or other incident.. if you think about it, an incident could be a small fender accident, a scratch, hail damage etc… am I right? If I was you I’ll try to find out exactly what happened to the car. If you bought this car at a reputable Dealer they should have checked the car thoroughly. Just make sure that your car DOES NOT have a rebuild title.
