New here, looking to get a 350z
Hey guys, I've been looking to get a 350z for awhile, love the car! I don't want to lease the car, just buy it. I've been doing a bit a research on diffrent models and years. But I'm still completely lost on what I really want, or how much I should get.
Personally, I want some feedback on people who have the different models. Should I aim for a new car, or a used car? I looked around for good prices, but I'm completely overwhelmed.
I know in order for people to order this, they would need to know what I'm looking for in the car. So I'll give you guys the run down of my situation.
I'm 23 yrs old, I do go to school, but also work 35 hours a week, currently own a 2003 tiburon 6-speed GT, with quite a few mods, and have been offered 15k for my car which I will sell once I find a 350z. With that cash, I would be able to pay off the rest of my loan, and also put a atleast a good 8000 down payment on the 350z.
With the tib, there are only really a few choices, GT, SE, Tuscani. Then manual (5 or 6) or auto. So all the 350z models is kinda overwhelming for a 350 noob like me. I do know I want a manual, color is not an issue. Years, depends on feedback.
Anyways, thanks for the look into the thread, and hopefully you guys can help me along!!

i did mine for 6, but that's only because of the deal I got on the car. Now you could spend a little more and get a new base model but I didnt want to do that and i didn't want the payments of a new track model since I just bought my mercedes a few months back so one large payment is enough. Figure out what you want, like I wanted the track, and go from there.

I definately don't want a base model without any extras. I just don't know the full content of all the packages offered...
I think a 300 dollar a month payment would be very good, I'm paying my tib 261 a month, so a 29 dollar raise would be great, I'd be getting a 10x better car even though I love the tib.

Best thing to do is go on Nissan's website. www.Nissanmotors.com and compare all the 350z trims & options.
Here is a quick run down: 03-05 are all the same except a few options changes on the different trims. For instance, TPS (Tire Preasure 'monitoring' system) was not in the 03-04 enthusiast trim, but in the 05 it was, Rims changes yr to yr. Very Minor stuff.
The 06's have LED brake lights and a few extra interieor "dress up" pieces. The 06 engines are all the 300hp/ lower torque that the 03-05 track trim had.
As far as used reliability and problems, search the forums there is plenty of info on that.
Trim Rundown 03-05 06 can be found on website
Base: Base is Base. No cruise, LSD, HID, Homelink, etc.
Enthusiast: Alot of people say is best bang for the buck, esp if you are going to mod. Has, LSD, HID, Homelink, Cruise, chrome pedals, etc.
Touring: Everything the Enthusiast has, but Leather, heated seats/mirrors, and a few cooshy extras.
Track: Very Similar to the enthusiast, but Brembo brakes and ~10hp more w/ less tourque. Likely unnoticeable, and if you are going to mod, then it does not matter.
