Default To Wait or Not to Wait?

Ok, so we all know that the new 07 will be out by at least March and No one is really sure when the new design is coming out (hopefuly 08). So then what will you do?
Buy an 07?
Wait for the 08?
Wait for the 08 G35/G37?
Wait for the new 08 evo?
Wait for the new 09 sti?
OR do you wait to check out the 09/10 muscle cars
2009 Challanger?
2009 Camaro?
2010 mustang redesign?

OR wait for the Supra, (hahaha have fun waiting for ever) so far still only rumors.

Yeah theres some cars missing that you might be waiting for and are probably out of most peoples price range including me (aka gtr) or you are completely happy with your current Z. Hopefuly I will be able to resist from buying an 07 lol and wait to check out the new z and evo in 08.
(please no )

I'll be keeping my Z, but my current daily driver POS is falling apart so I'm hoping that it will hang in there until the 2008 G35/G37 is out AND I'm hoping Nissan/Infiniti will put in a 6sp "SMG" with paddle shifters that the 07 G35 sedan has. Will also be considering an IS350.

Old School Muscle car guy in me would consider the Pontiac sibling to the 09 Camaro if GM is going to make the LS7 or LS9 and available engine option.

But if I can wait that long then I would consider an 09 STi.

What I would really love is to find a low mileage 993 C4S though!

Hope you don't get hit by a bus while your doing all that waiting. Why don't you get what's out there now, then trade up?!

I'm going to wait to see what the next gen Z has in store, and then decide on current gen or next gen Z. The new camaro with LS2 might be tempting, but I don't ever envision myself buying a GM car. The new challenger is dead sexy... I hope the next gen Z comes out before that does, or I might end up with another Daimler Chrysler vehicle in my garage.

Doesn't matter. By the time you buy whatever it is you will buy, it will outdated in no more than 2 years.

This is especially true if you are going to buy the "first" generation of something. Enjoy what you have and get it paid off and then analyze once again.

My personal opinion of your list is that nothing on there except for the Z and Supra would make much sense. Then again, those are too far out and my mind may change by then.

You could wait for the 2012 3000GT VR4. j/k

I am just an average driver who likes to drive a little fast. 10 more ponies won't make much of a difference to me. So I spent $26500 on a 06 base Z just last month. I could've waited for the 07, pay a little more and get 10 more ponies, but like I said, I wont know/care about the difference.

So I wouldn't wait for an 07 Z. But the Evo X is somewhat interested to me and so I might take a look at it when it comes out if at that time I am looking for a 4 seater.

Is Chrysler going to put a manual transmission in the Challenger or continue to think that their choice of transmission that they decided to use in the Charger is really hitting the target for that market segment? I'll give it "props" for retro-flare styling, but what is the point of having that nice HEMI V8 with all its power if you are just going to trow it into a heavya$$ 4000lbs chassis/vehicle!

Personally I would like to see some lightweight high V8 horsepower "pony cars" that can handle come from detroit. I would love to see a modern version of the 1969/1970 Trans Am cars (Dodge Challenger, Camaro, Mustang), but that will never happen.

Who said anything about March? A dealer? Wtf do they know? NISSAN said January... and I, for one, believe them.

It's like buying a CPU or a harddrive - next day there will be something even better. I bet you'll enjoy any of the choices above.

I know that you really can't wait too long for a car because cars will continuely be outdated rather quickly like dbasal stated.

I said AT LEAST by March to be on the safe side because as of now nissan has not shown us any proof that their car is ready to be sold in January.
