i personally believe that a car's speed isn't the bottom line to how great it is. the Evo is the better performer esp. with mods, but if ur hearts says the Z is the one, go for it. we only live once

a fast lunch box with a wing isn't going to win everybody's hearts. neither is a car that looks faster than it is, but that's why there are different cars created for different people.

good luck mate!!!!!!!

Ex-Evo owner as well and don't regret it! Miss it (like an ex-gf) sometimes but don't regret it.

Hmm after riding in an evo for the first time this weekend trading in your evo for a z will probably dissapoint you. The evo is faster, more nimble, and has 4 doors. Not to mention the boost, but thats always teh selling factor for me.

Im a huge fan of Evo's, I think it looks sexy, but for some people its hideous...
What you need to look at is if you want the feeling of a true sport car or just having a fast econobox like everyone calls them. The Z looks more agressive and attracts many different crowds. The evo usually attracts more younger crowds and older crowds with the same love for fast cars. as much as I love the Evo, I see it more as a 30k+ honda civic, on the other hand the Z is more like a 30k M3.

Z= Great Looks, Great Handling, Nice power (smooth power), Feels liek a real sports car,

Evo= Very Fast (cause of its superlaunching lol), Very good handling ,easy to mod

and thats it i mean other then it going fast and handling good and being easy to mod the quality suks the interior suks the look suks the trannies break like glass the service sucks ect.....

Forgot to mention the WORST WARRANTY IN THE WORLD the reason i stoped lookin at one plus one test drive of the z and driven the evo and sti felt stupid to me it may be a mind thing but it felt like it handled better to me even though i know the evo and sti supposbly handle better sure doesn feel like it

Put both the cars next to each other only one looks lke something sick to me the evo looks liek a civic to me all those econo box

If I didn't have the 0% financing for 60 months on my Evo 8, I would have traded it in for an 07 350Z already. Evo's are fun to drive because of the boost and handling but the driving feel of a RWD car just can't be beat. Come on Nissan...offer up some financing specials!

sorry for this being my first post here but anyway. I own a evo 9 mr. and want a 350z.
as for them telling you about launching is better in awd its also more destructive. i have less then 7k on my odometer and i just broke my t-case from a hard launch. i cant help you with your decision on to trade one in for it or not because im keeping mine and buying a z. just idk when or much about them. thats y im here.

Evo are awesome cars, and are mod friendly....Z are awesome too, with a look IMO that cant really be beat....But you gotta understand the Z...Its like a rich snooby spoiled little *****, it only reacts to expensive things (mods), so your gonna have to shell out a some dough to get what evos are doing for half the price. But once you do that...TT SC whatever, the Z will be a beast! Dont get confused though, stock for stock the difference is not that big, and in the handling department IMO its all about the driver...but put any little mod on an Evo and they are gone. I guess the moral of my little rant is get something YOU REALLY LIKE, and put performance aside for a minute, because all cars can be made fast. Its all about looking in the driveway and saying DAMN I LOVE MY CAR....and the Z is what did that for me

In terms of cornering, I don't see a stock Z even keeping up with a stock Evo (similar drivers).

I'm debating between lightening my Z and just saving that money for something else (like an Evo).

No matter what car you have now, are going to buy now, or have ever owned, it's limit was it's stock engine. Your limit is your money. There are Z's running just as fast daily as there are EVO's. You can spend money to get the EVO's speed in a 350Z. You cannot spend money to get an EVO's looks like the 350Z. So, based on the overall limitations, which car can you afford? A decent looking car with lots of power, or a great looking car with lots of power?

You might be suprised to know that the 06 with fatter tires actually edge out the Evo in the Lightning lap, not saying that is the norm, but it very close...But if I was you, I would put your Z on a diet and mod away...either way you cant go wrong
